Mortgage Rates Dip For Third Consecutive Week

Manuel Pantiga - Sunday, March 06, 2011

For the third consecutive week the long term fixed rates dropped.  The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 4.87 percent for the week ending March 3, 2011, down from last week when it averaged 4.95 percent.  The 15-year Fixed this week averaged 4.15 percent down from last week when it averaged 4.22 percent. The soaring inventory levels and the low rates continue to make this season a promising one for buyers.
